This Firm offers highly personalized counsel in integrated environmental compliance. We believe in the value of balancing protection of the environment with legal compliance in a way that promotes a working, growing society. Often daunting, environmental challenges can be simple or difficult, depending on the approach.
We seek to simplify legal challenges through logical response and planning with regulators and sometimes litigation. We help with federal and state regulatory interface; soil, water, and air cleanup; as well as endangered species protection, environmental impacts, compliance and policy. Healthy public intersection is factored into every policy and procedural action.
Kathleen P. Clack has long experience in complex land use planning that is subject to environmental protection and cleanup for real property transfer. She played an integral role in the closure of Fort Ord Army Base, Monterey, California, the transition of 28,000 acres from federal to state ownership.
Our practice is to look at the environmental policy and legal requirements facing a client. We consider if the regulatory compliance is responsible and constitutional. If it is not, we examine alternative administrative interpretation of current law or analysis of legislative changes to meet real world, balanced application of environmental law.
We provide associate counsel federally and in California. Ms. Clack has experience with CERCLA, Superfund, NEPA, CEQA, Endangered Species, Historic Preservation, Radiological Decomissioning, Unexploded Ordinance, Supporting Real Property Transfer Documents, Environmental Protection during Infrastructure transition, Public Meeting, and Public Agency Interaction.
